Serbia had a great start to the EHF EURO 2016, winning their opening game against Slovenia 36:34 on Sunday. The day after we talked to them about their feelings, but asked them not to say anything - and draw emojis instead.

Pure Heart. All Hands.

Pure Heart. All Hands. This is the tournament's slogan.  As with any competitive sport, those who are passionate about it are fully engaged, investing their 'Heart': Pure heart. The 'Hands' are the focus of the sport, and are built into its name. This also refers to the idea of community and togetherness that athletics bring: All hands. EHF Photographer Uros Hocevar made an attempt to visualise the motto.

Behind closed doors

EHF photographer Uros Hocevar was allowed a backstage pass into the rooms of Serbian, French and Dutch players staying in Gothenburg during the Women’s EHF EURO 2016. He captured the athletes in the ‘natural habitat’, as they relaxed in their rooms in between media calls, training and meetings.
